ZoosKids love to see zoo animals, and luckily, zoos have been changing, with much more attention to keeping zoo animals happier in larger and more natural habitats. Many "new zoos" have also repositioned themselves as centers for education and conservation. All of which makes zoos much better places to visit with kids.

You can design some great habitats with deep pockets like Disney's: such as the gorilla area at Animal Kingdom. This Walt Disney World theme park is 500 acres (four times as big as Magic Kingdom) and offers some excellent opportunities to see animals. Miami Metrozoo
This 300-acre zoo, surprisingly close to Miami's urban centers, has been a pioneer in the "cageless zoo" concept. San Diego Zoo
