Lodgepole pine grow very straight; architect Robert Reimer had his workers search the Park for the type of curved wood he wanted, to create his "forest" inside the Inn.

The effect of the Inn's multiple levels of balconies, all in glowing natural wood, is dizzying.

Robert Reamer was only 29 years old when he was picked to create the Inn for park visitors who wanted to stay overnight near the famous Old Faithful geyser. For the rest of his life, he returned to the Park whenever changes were made to the Inn.
