Mud Volcano, on Mud Volcano Trail

Beautiful in its own muddy way. Early explorers in Yellowstone describe a 30-foot high volcano-like cone, with mud erupting; by 1872, however, the description was of a "seething, bubbling mass of mud." Probably an eruption blew up the cone.
