The Hard Rock Hotel has multiple restaurants and lounges, and fun theming based on rock music (though for rock memorabilia, the nearby Hard Rock Cafe is the place to go.)
The Hard Rock Hotel is part of the Universal Orlando complex, that includes: Islands of Adventure theme park; Universal Studios Florida; the CityWalk entertainment area, linking the parks; and two other hotels, the Portfino and the Royal Pacific Resort.
What's Special about the Hard Rock Hotel for Families?
- Convenient access to the Universal Orlando theme parks (Islands of Adventure, and Universal Studios Florida.) Guests can take a free watertaxi shuttle, or walk along a lush garden walkway (-five minutes to Universal Studios Florida.)
- Large freeform pool that's a hit with kids, with waterslide, and a sand beach along one side. The pool is shallow (very), and life-guarded.*
- Guests at all Universal Orlando resorts get Universal Express fast-track access to popular theme park rides. This in itself is a major reason to stay at a Universal Orlando hotel, especially during peak periods when wait times can be two hours for popular rides.
