"Resorts with water park" craze

Nickhotel - one of the waterparks.

They're springing up all over: resorts with their own waterparks.

The growing number of resorts with an indoor water park is creating a whole new range of winter vacations. It all started in a little burg called Wisconsin Dells, "the indoor waterpark capital of the world"; two brands in particular have been expanding and colonizing many other towns.

For instance: there are now Great Wolf Lodges in Sandusky Ohio, Niagara Falls, Williamsburg, VA, Poconos Pennsylvania, and more. Features include rustic decor with Grand Lobby, all-suite guest rooms, nightly bedtime story, Aveda Concept Spa, special "Snowland" season-- and of course a razz-ma-tazz indoor waterpark.

Some places with indoor waterparks have outdoor waterparks in summer, too.

Meanwhile, in Orlando, a resort with two year-round outdoor waterparks is a magnet for families: the Nickelodeon Family Suites by Holiday Inn. Kids will also love the games and entertainment by Nickelodeon (popular kids' tv channel), and appearances by SpongeBob and other characters.
