Disneyland is the best-known theme park in southern California, with two theme parks: the classic Disneyland park, the only theme park where Walt Disney actually walked, and the newer California Adventure which has been much improved in the last few years by a massive redevelopment. Also in the area is Universal Studios Hollywood theme park, with move-based attractions, and Knotts Berry Farm ( both of which get seriously scary for Halloween.) South of LA is LEGOLAND California, with rides, live shows, and mini-lands made from millions of Lego blocks: its location is just half an hour from San Diego, another great family destination in southern California.
