Teens can be a picky and tricky age to please, but some resorts that offer kids' programs are making special efforts to keep the family happy once the kids are teenagers. Simply setting up a teen center, with games and movie screen, seldom does much. Read on for some outstanding efforts to please those teens...
Allways read visitor's comments about any resort, and note the time of year that the comments were posted. Teens like to meet other teens, and a lot of their satisfaction will reflect how convivial (or quiet) the resort was, which varies at different times of year.

The Club Med brand of all inclusive resorts has excellent kids' programs and is making stand-out efforts for teens as well. Several Club Med resorts have Passworld, a themed place where kids can hang out and enjoy cool activities led or supervised by young Club Med staff. Club Med Punta Cana additionally has "The Ramp", a teens-only giant skateboard ramp with a lounge underneath.
The Dreams brand has all inclusive resorts in Mexico and the DR, with kids clubs for ages 3 to 12. A Teen Center program debuted at Dreams Punta Cana Resort & Spa, and will continue at new resorts being built in the Caribbean. Teen Centers for ages 13 to 17 will have high-tech games, audio-visual systems, games tables, drink and snack machines, and sports areas such as basketball courts, batting cages, climbing walls, and an archery range. Supervisors will schedule activities in a flexible manner. ·

This upscale brand is making a special effort with teens by providing "teen concierges" and teens-only lounges (named "Our Space" or "Coast") equipped with game systems, a movie theater, air hockey, etc.. Also teen activities are offered such as biking, night sports and pizza and movie nights. In the photo at left, the Coast teen lounge at the Ritz-Carlton Palm Beach features a production studio and DJ booth. Some Ritz-Carlton resorts are ale to offer surf lessons, which will appeal to many teens. (Meanwhile, for younger kids, Ritz-Carlton resorts offer Ritz Kids Clubs.)
