Maine - beaches and festivals
Maine's license plate proclaims the name "Vacationland", and summer vacation is definitely the time to test the slogan. (Another slogan is "we're really cold, but we've got cheap lobster": a strong hint that visitors should come and visit during summer months!)
Maine is 320 miles long, 210 miles wide, and has 3500 miles of coast. Along this coast are many different types of beaches, and the Maine Office of Tourism focuses on some of the best.
