Drive to a resort with a waterpark

Resorts with indoor waterparks have made a big splash with family vacationers.

Wisconsin Dells started the wave: a small town with multiple resorts that have their own waterparks, indoors and out. And one or two of the major players have been expanding to other towns.

Like Sandusky Ohio, for example. Sandusky already had a big draw in summer, with legendary roller coasters at Cedar Point Amusement Park. Now it also has several resorts with waterparks including Great Wolf Lodge Sandusky, an offspring of the Great Wolf Lodge in Wisconsin Dells.

The multiplying Great Wolf Lodges share signature features such as: Bear Track Landing Indoor Waterpark; Fort MacKenzie tree-house waterfort with 1000--gallon tipping bucket; Beaver Tail Lake indoor wave pool: Racoon Lagoon seasonal outdoor pool; Northern Lights™ Arcade; Iron Horse™ Fitness Room and Aveda® Concept Spa.

Depending on where you live, you might be able to hop in the car and drive to a Great Wolf Lodge in:
