- from Summer Vacations A to Z
The pros and cons of taking kids to Vegas have been debated for years, but one things certain: thousands of families do flock to the place.
The Excalibur Hotel is a lower-priced property on the Strip, and has a bunch of features geared to families:
- medieval castle and King Arthur theme
- Tournament of Kings jousting dinner show
- SpongeBob SquarePants 4-D ride
- Fantasy Faire Midway: carnival "games of skill", Wizard's Arcade, and more
- pools with waterfalls and waterslides
Keep in mind, however, that this is a casino hotel, and there will be smoking, drinking, and adult-oriented entertainment in the immediate environment. Read visitor comments at TripAdvisor.com.
The Excalibur has several conveniences:
- location at the south end of Las Vegas Boulevard, one mile from the airport
- food court, and value restaurants
- tram that runs to the Luxor and the Mandalay hotels
