How nice, that maple sugar season coincides with spring break weeks for many families. Maple sugar season -- that special time of year when sap is collected from sugar maple trees -- runs from late February to early April in different parts of New England and Canada.

Take a spring break getaway to the countryside in New England or eastern Canada, maybe snowshow or ski, maybe hike or bike depending on how far the snow melt has advanced -- but definitely take time to enjoy some sweet treats at a maple sugar house.
