Yosemite National Park is one of the most famous -- and heavily visited -- National Parks in the U.S. Most people visit in summer months, but About.com's Guide for California Travel has high praise for Yosemite during the spring-time months.
"One of the most beautiful parts of Yosemite in spring is the waterfalls", she says: "As the spring thaw begins, the waterfalls run at full throttle, cascading down the mountainsides." And add this bonus: Yosemite can be a crowded place in summer but visitors will have no such worries in the spring. Yosemite weather is usually mild at this time of year.
