The village was designed by Intrawest, the same "village people" behind the award-winning Whistler-Blackcomb Resort.
The Solitude village has several condominium buildings plus The Inn at Solitude (with spa), restaurants, grocery store, an outdoor skating rink, and "Club Solitude", a leisure center (click below).
Solitude also offers "Utah’s most unique dining experience". Diners set off on cross-country skis or showshoes, following a guide to "The Yurt" for a five-course fixed-price meal. The Yurt seats only twenty guests, so make reservations; sorry, no kids under twelve.
