Whistler ski resort has one of the longest seasons going, and often extends right into June. (Always check first, though!)

Basically, with late-season skiing, you're using only the top two-thirds of Whistler mountain. (Blackcomb Mountain -- the other half of Whistler-Blackcomb-- closes earlier, in April.)
Your day begins with a 20-minute gondola ride from the Village to the mountain's upper storeys where --as the photo shows-- plenty of snow awaits.
Benefits of late-season skiing include*:
- last lift ride up at 4 pm instead of 3 pm
- uncrowded slopes
- reduced ticket price
- warm sunny days
- better driving conditions to and fro
