Iberostar Playa Paraiso
At this giant complex is on the Riviera Maya-- 30 minutes south of the Cancun airport, between Cancun and Playa del Carmen-- Iberostar has two pairs of resorts with lush grounds, lazy river, wave pool, kids' pools, many restaurants, shopping center, spa, and P.B. Dye golf course. A fifth resort is being built.

Playacar Palace - Riviera Maya
In the Playacar Hotel Zone of Playa del Carmen, 45 minutes south of the Cancun airport and in the middle of the Riviera Maya. Palace resorts have a "stay at one, enjoy all" policy: you can make day visits to other Palaces. Good location for visiting Riviera Maya highlights such as Xcaret and Tulum; day-trips to Cozumel leave from Playa del Carmen.
Sunscape Puerto Aventuras - Riviera Maya
Central location, in Puerto Aventuras (upscale area with shops, golf, etc.) on the Riviera Maya; kids club; coral reef 100 yards from the beach.
