"Family Fun Expert"
The resort has its own "family fun expert" plus staff who help families get the most out of their visits, including the cultural activities offered through their Srai-Wi Family Program.
What's Srai-Wi?
Srai-Wi means "to gather children together and share with them" in the Santa Ana Pueblo's native language. The Srai Wi Family Program offers fun activities for families who want to learn about native culture. For example:
- native pottery-making classes
- horseback riding through the resort's pueblo backcountry to view Petroglyphs and ruins that date back approximately 1,000 years
- nature hikes through the Cottonwood Forest, with stories of the pueblo and its people
- adobe brick-making with clay and straw
- Native American stories under the stars (with S'mores)
