Resorts with Baby Care, Wee Kids Programs

Ah, babies: they know what they need, and they need it NOW, and it's a good thing they're so adorable. More and more resorts are realizing that parents of babies can use a bit of a break; these resorts are offering programs for toddlers and preschoolers too.

Franklyn D. Resort, Jamaica
It can't get any better than this, with a baby: at FDR "all-inclusive" means everything, snorkeling trips, scuba, kids' programs, and best of all, a friendly vacation nanny for each family. This pretty mid-sized resort has huge suites, friendly ambiance, great dining options, and many nannies dandling babes in arms while Mom takes a break.

Beaches Resorts- Infant Care
Beaches -- part of the Sandals chain-- is a top name in family all-inclusives, and features nurseries with infant care in addition to kids clubs for different age groups. Families can choose from Beaches Turks & Caicos, and Beaches Negril, Beaches Boscobel and Beaches Sandy Bay in Jamaica. Several resorts have water parks.

Club Med Resorts: Florida, Mexico, Caribbean
Club Med is a top brand of all-inclusive resort, and is known for terrific kids programs. Several resorts have a Baby Club Med, for ages four months to 23 months and/or Petit Club Med for ages two to three years (at an extra charge); Baby Welcome, meanwhile, is an all-included program with amenities, high-chairs, bottle-warmers, etc.

Tyler Place, Vermont
Tyler Place, on Lake Champlain, has 165 acres and myriad family activities, plus programs for many different age groups, including: newborn to 12 months; 12 months to 18 months; and 18 months to 30-month-olds.

Smuggler's Notch, VT
"The most fun your children will ever have - we guarantee it." Snow season and summer time, Smuggs has an amazing array of outdoor activities, plus indoor FunZone. For ages 6 weeks to 2 years, Treasures is a million-dollar 5400 sq. ft. child care center full of toys and games.
