Through the heart of Paris flows the Seine... 1 485-mile- long river, that in Paris is narrowed between high stone embankments.
Walking (or in this case, scootering) along the Seine is one of the great pleasures of Paris.
The angular boxes, above, located right by the walls that overlook the Seine, contain entire stores that are unpacked in the morning, and packed away at night. The vendors sell prints, watercolors, and other art-y tourist bric-a-brac: inexpensive, but that's the price you want, with kids-- and the items are often attractive too.
