We all know the Big Apple is (a) expensive, and (b) so very worth visiting. So it's good to know that a bunch of centrally located well-priced properties in Manhattan have grouped together as Apple Core Hotels.

Apple Core Hotels include:

  • the La Quinta Inn Manhattan -17 West 32nd Street
  • Red Roof Inn Manhattan - 6 West 32nd Street
  • smoke-free Comfort Inn Midtown -129 West 46th Street
  • The Hotel @ Times Square -59 West 46th Street
  • Ramada Inn East Side -161 Lexington Avenue
Depending on your choice of property, you can walk to Central Park, Madison Square Garden, The Empire State Building, Times Square, Rockefeller Center, and other New York City landmarks (not to mention kiddie landmarks like the flagship Build-a-Bear Workshop store, above.)

Families will like, about Apple Core Hotels:

  • central location
  • low price range (for New York!)
  • complimentary breakfasts

Keep in mind:
Only kids under 13 years old stay free in parents' room; the charge for an extra "adult" (for example, a teenager) could be in the range of $35 (depending on season and room configuration.) Maximum number of people per room is four.
