"Six Flags" is a big name in US theme parks, with theme parks and waterparks coast-to-coast. Six Flags New England is the largest theme park in its region, and offers plenty for all ages, plus special fun at Halloween.

Six Flags New England has plenty of thrills: the Superman Ride of Steel, Scream, Mind Eraser...
But Six Flags New England has plenty for the younger set, too. Kids and parents can ride kid-style rides together at the LOONEY TUNES MovieTown. Wiggles World is a big draw for preschoolers; and Thomas Town is a Thomas the Tank Engine themed area of the park (late 2007). As a bonus: kids under 36" are free.
There are in-between tamer rides too, plus concerts and other fun. The Six Flags New England site makes it easy to find the type of rides you like, whether they're thrill rides, family rides, or for the pint-sized.
Guests worried about long line-ups can buy FASTLANE, which uses pager-like devices as a "virtual reservation system". Make reservations for a ride, and the device will beep with a reminder when your scheduled time is near.
Also at Six Flags New England (and included with admission): the Hurricane Harbor Waterpark has waterslides, raft rides, wave pool, 1000-foot river for tubing, and much more.

October brings Frightfest, Halloween-ish fun with trick-or-treating for little kids in daytime, and scary fun at night.
