Mexico resorts are hugely popular with families, who love their all inclusive pricing, beautiful beaches, kids programs, activities and entertainment, and pools with fun features such as waterslides. But there are some points to keep in mind about Mexico resorts - see below.

AZUL Hotels by Karisma
AZUL Hotels are the family brand of Karisma Hotels, which bills its properties as "Gourmet Inclusive resorts". Other features include: Beach Butler service; a partnership with Fisher-Price toy company for programs for kids under five; lots of complimentary gear for babies (in-room playpens, bottle warmers, strollers, etc.); 24-hour room service.
Mexico All Inclusive Resorts with Baby and Toddler Kids Clubs
Almost every all inclusive resort that welcomes families offers a kids' club; but often these are only for ages four to twelve. Parents of younger kids can probably arrange for a babysitter... Or try one of the resorts, below, that have nurseries or baby clubs.

Mexico All Inclusives Resorts in other areas: Avalon Reef Club
Just outside Cancun, the Avalon Reef Club is on its own private islet, with gentle shallow beach, on Isla Mujeres (a 20-minute boat ride from Cancun.) Take short stroll and explore a laid-back little town. Guests can eat and play at a sister resort in Cancun.
Mexico All Inclusive Resorts - Club Med Ixtapa Pacific
Club Med is known for awesome kids' programs. This all inclusive resort -- on Mexico's west coast-- has trapeze, in-line skating, archery, plus the usual land and watersports; also Baby Club Med and Petit Club Med (though you'll have to pay extra for those.)
El Cozumeleno
This all-inclusive Mexico resort is on the island of Cozumel, off shore from Playa del Carmen, the main town in the Riviera Maya, south of Cancun. Popular with families, El Cozumeleno is just five minutes from the Cozumel airport. Cozumel can also be reached by a 40-minute ferry from Playa del Carmen.
Iberostar Cozumel
Also on Cozumel, this Iberostar resort is on the southwest coast near scuba and snorkeling reefs.
Melia Azul Ixtapa
Part of the Sol Melia chain, which has a number of all inclusive Mexico resorts. The Melia Azul Ixtapa has pools on three levels with waterfalls between; kiddie pool with waterslides, sprayers, & other waterpark features. Kids clubs for ages 2 to 12.
Melia Puerta Vallarta
On the west coast of Mexico, and part of the Sol Melia chain; kids' clubs for ages from babies to teens; older ages have activities such as climbing wall and batting cage.
