London Eye - view

Houses of Parliament, seen from the London Eye

Visitors can add to their London Eye experience by buying an "London Eye In-flight mini guide", with maps of the views seen from the capsule. A larger "The Essential Eye" guidebook is on sale, too.

During our "flight" in August, as can be seen above we had decent but not perfect weather: if you book ahead to avoid line-ups (recommended!), you take your chances with weather during your flight.

A possible solution: take a night-flight, which fans say is magical.

Note: the Eye closes for several weeks for maintenance; check dates, if you're visiting off-season.
