This theme park was designed especially for two to 12-year-olds, and those in the prime age group from two to ten will love everything about the place, including the fanciful creations made from Lego blocks (see above.) To reach LEGOLAND Windsor, visitors take a half-hour train from London to Windsor, and then a shuttle bus-- see details.

Keep in Mind:
  • The theme park is open certain days from March to September, and also on November 5th, for Guy Fawkes Day.* Closing time varies from 5 to 7 pm -- check opening times.
  • Don't hurry back to London when the park gates shut: take the shuttle back to the train station, and then explore Windsor Castle -- an official residence of Her Majesty-- or Eton College before you board the train.
  • 2012 saw the opening of the Legoland Windsor Resort, a hotel with many child-pleasing features. Price includes park admission, and lodging choices include themed rooms a family room that sleeps five -- read a detailed review and see photos at About.com's UK Travel website.
As is common in the travel industry, the writer was provided with complimentary admission for the purpose of review. While it has not influenced this review, About.com believes in full disclosure of all potential conflicts of interest. For more information, see our ethics policy.
