New passport requirements for US citizens
Starting January 2007, US Citizens will be required to show passports when they return to the US from Mexico, the Caribbean, and Canada, by air and sea travel.
New Passport Requirements to RETURN to the US
Starting as early as the end of 2005, US travelers returning from certain countries will be required to show passports in order to re-enter the United States. (The aim is to improve US border security.) The first travel zones affected are the Caribbean islands and Bermuda.
Kids Crossing Borders with One Birth Parent
Of interest especially to single parents: if your child is crossing a border with only one birth parent accompanying, you may need extra documents.
Do I need trip Insurance?
Travel insurance can be especially important when your kids are young and might, for example, get chicken pox just before your trip. Choices include insurance for trip cancellation, trip interruption, medical expenses,and even weather insurance.
