CoCo Key Water Resorts aims to make a splash in world of indoor waterpark resorts, by rapidly opening several locations. Unlike, say, the Great Wolf Lodge brand -- which builds its resorts from scratch-- CoCo Key Water Resorts are added on to existing properties.
Decor and name are inspired by Key West, Florida, and the motto for CoCo Key Water Resorts is "It's always Florida inside." Signature features include:
- Shark Slam, Gator Gush & Barracuda Blast - three body- and raft-waterslides
- Parrot's Perch Play Island: interactive adventure zone with water cannons, spray nozzles, and thousand-gallon bucket dump
- Dip In Theater - float on a tube in the waterpark and watch a flick
First location is at Cherry Valley Lodge, in Ohio, just 25 miles east of Columbus; Cherry Valley Lodge gets a 50,000 square foot CoCo Key Water Resort that's also open to the public.
Next batch of CoCo Key Water Resorts are coming to: Clock Tower Resort, Rockford IL; Sheraton Chicago Northwest, in Chicago; Sheraton Ferncroft, in Boston MA. Others are planned as well.
