Chocolate Destinations

Ahhh, chocolate... Make mine extra-dark and 85% cacao, please. Though one son will only eat milk chocolate, exclusively-- personal preferences vary, but many kids and adults alike would agree that chocolate is a superlative treat and would heartily applaud a destination that had a chocolate week (or even a month.)

In that spirit, here are some chocolate events that your family might enjoy on a getaway.

Top billing goes to “Chocolatetown U.S.A.” : Hershey PA, that is, home of the chocolate empire started by Milton Hershey at the turn of the last century. Hershey is a popular family destination due to the Hersheypark theme park which has coasters, rides, waterpark, and more. Hershey PA has several other attractions, such as Chocolate World; families can stay at the family-friendly Hotel Hershey (with kids club and chocolate-themed spa) or at Hershey Lodge which has family events and an indoor pool.

Chocolate-Covered February has a Chocolate Parade, Teddy Bear Day, Afternoon Chocolate Tea, Chocolate-Covered Children's Afternoon Tea, and much more.
