"Egg-citing" Easter Weekend - at the Atlantis

The Atlantis Bahamas is a one-of-a-kind mega-resort which -- thanks to new AQUAVENTURE waterpark-- now has a gigantic 93-acre "waterscape" with shark lagoons, jaw-dropping waterslides, the latest high-tech river float, subterranean giant aquariums, not to mention, spa, casino, and Marina...

The Atlantis also has plenty for families with young kids: "Gentle Travel" for babies; Ripples kids pool; Splashers water play zone; and kids' club created with Discovery Channel.

So it's no surprise that Easter is celebrated in a big way. Highlights that typically repeat each year include:

Bunny Tuck-Ins
The Easter Bunny delivers Easter baskets filled with treats (register first; nominal fee)

Prince & Princess Tea Party
Dress up if you like; decorate a souvenir teapot (in the Earth & Fire Pottery Studio); register first; activity fee.

Holiday Egg-Stravaganza: on Saturday; carnival games, prizes, color-a-tee, live entertainment, more

Easter Sunrise interdenominational church service

Egg Hunt: for kids 3 to 12; over 3000 eggs to be found!

The Atlantis is also focusing lately on live performances (by name acts such as Kelly Clarkson), and Easter 2009 brings stage shows by Mark Nizer, juggler extraordinaire, winner of the International Juggling Championships and a performer on tv and at major venues. Several performances are scheduled in the days before Easter, and tickets are complimentary to hotel guests.
