Kaanapali Beach is on Maui's northwest coast, just north of Lahaina, in an area with many resorts.
The Ka'anapali has 11 beachfront acres and aims to be a "moderately priced first class hotel". It's been voted "#1 Best Value Hotel in Hawaii" in Travel & Leisure Magazine.
The resort bills itself as: Maui's Most Hawaiian Hotel", with tropical furnishings, original art, lei-making, hula. A novel kids' program -- Aloha Passport-- introduces Hawaiian arts and crafts as "destinations" for kids to visit to get a passport stamp.
