Advice on Finding Discount Airfares
There are at least five very different ways to find airfare bargains on the Web!

Bestfares Quickfinder
Bestfares-- a great website for bargain airfares-- has farefinder that's quick and easy to use, and you don't have to tie yourself to certain dates to look for a fare.

Expedia
Expedia's farefinder (which includes children's fares) alerts you to lower fares available on other days. You can also get emails about certain routes with Fare Tracker.

Orbitz
Another good farefinder.

Qixo
Qixo searches the databases of various airlines and also ticket discounters such as Travelocity; does kids' fares too.

Side Step
Once you install Sidestep (it's quick and free), every time you use another farefinder, Sidestep will open a side window and perform its own search; then you compare the two results.

Travelocity
This farefinder has some nice features: you can search "any date" (most farefinders make you pick a date); "any airport" for cities like New York; and you'll be alerted if a lower airfare is found to a nearby city.
