New England
New England offers so many opportunities, for weekend getaways and for longer vacations. Great opportunities for outdoor recreation; theme parks too, open in summer and Halloween; fall foliage, apple-picking, pumpkin patches, corn mazes, and other fall season fun; family resorts that go all out with kids programs, family activities, and holiday celebrations; maple sugar season, moose tours... and that's not all.

New York State
Lake George, the Catskills... New York State has several areas popular for family vacations, and also, some excellent family-friendly resorts, from classic properties on huge grounds, to all-inclusive guest ranch, to resorts with indoor waterparks. And of course New York City is terrific to visit with kids.

Pennsylvania
Many spots in PA are an easy drive from NYC and Washington DC. Top draws include a major theme park, classic lodges, huge recreational properties, a resort with indoor waterpark.
