Disney had a banner year in 2005, and a year with lots of banners...
A whole new Disneyland debuted: Disneyland Hong Kong, with Main St. USA, Adventureland, Tomorrowland, and Fantasyland; but with some differences and additions too.
Naturally, there was also a Disney anniversary celebration in 2005. May kicked off the 18-month Happiest Celebration on Earth in honor of the 50th Anniversary of the opening of Disneyland. Festivities aren't confined to Anaheim; Disney World got major new attractions, new shows, fancy decorations on Cinderella's castle, and thousands of banners like those above.
Disney World is also busy building a major new "mountain" coaster (joining the Thunder, Space, and Spash Mountain rides): Expedition Everestis rising gigantically in Animal Kingdom, and is due to open in 2006.
