"Chocolate Town USA" goes all out, at Christmas-time.
Hersheypark -- family amusement park-- reopens in December for "Christmas Candylane". "Hershey Sweet Lights" is a two-mile drive through a display of Christmas lights; other events include "Chocolate Town - A Holiday Dinner Musical”, staged at Hershey Lodge. And thirty minutes away, smaller theme park Dutch Wonderland turns into Dutch Winter Wonderland, with themed rides for younger kids.
Meanwhile the Hotel Hershey (classic hotel, with kids club) and Hershey Lodge have special seasonal packages. A New Year's Eve package, for example, is typically offered, and sells out early: a two-night "Hershey’s Chocolate World Family Party" package includes lodgings at The Hotel Hershey, a New Year’s Eve grand dinner and dessert buffet, a family party at Hershey’s Chocolate World (with dancing, entertainment, attractions, and dance party), New Year’s Day breakfast, and more. A more formal New Year's Eve package is offered, too.
