Nickelodeon is the ultra-popular kids tv channel, featuring characters adored by little kids: SpongeBob SquarePants and Dora the Explorer, to name just two. Nickelodeon has many other entertainment ventures -- a magazine, movies, Nick.com -- and "Nick" is a major brand.
Nickelodeon has also partnered with travel destinations to create Nick-themed places where families can go and have fun.
Nickelodeon Family Suites (Nick Hotel), Orlando
Nickelodeon Family Suites set a new level for on-property fun -- so much fun, that your kids may not even want to visit Orlando's theme parks. Nick Hotel has two on-site water parks and theming, games, and entertainment by Nickelodeon. Left: a Character Breakfast, where Dora the Explorer and other Nick personalities entertain and interact with guests.
Nickelodeon Resorts by Marriott
Starting in San Diego in 2010, and continuing in a building boom for ten more years, up to twenty new Nick Hotels will offer families mega-fun, with on-site water parks and theming and entertainment by Nickelodeon.
Nickelodeon Family Cruises
All the fun and pampering of an RCI cruise, plus SpongeBob and Dora onboard, Nick-themed game shows and pool games, and the chance to get slimed... Debut cruise was in 2008. Itineraries have included the Caribbean, sailing from Florida, and the Mexican Riviera, sailing from LA.
Nickelodeon Universe Indoor Theme Park
This indoor amusement park at the Mall of America in Bloomington MN has Nickelodeon theming, with new and old rides matched to popular characters from Nickelodeon's tv shows: SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer, and other faves.
Universal Orlando
Jimmy Neutron's Nicktoon Blast™ is an attraction in the Universal Studios Florida theme park, and features animated Nicktoon character Jimmy Neutron, who might also be found doing a meet-and-greet in the park. Dora the Explorer, SpongeBob Squarepants and some of the Rugrats characters do meet-and-greets as well.
