There's nothing like a weekend fall getaway, somewhere where the air is crisp and nature's putting on a color show. Combine a leaf-picking weekend with extra fun for the kids: visit a corn maze, or a pumpkin patch.

The whole month of October's a holiday season now. Visit a favorite city, for Boos at Zoos or haunted science museums. Visit a theme park, for spooky fun; Disney has "not so scary" parties; Universal Studios gets seriously spooky; Legoland, Sesame Place, Hersheypark all have their Halloween scene.
