A YMCA like no other: YMCA of the Rockies has two centers in Colorado-- Snow Mountain Ranch and Estes Park Center-- and both offer a bonanza of recreational activities, many available free with your reasonable cabin-rental rate.
In mid- October, Estes Park has a special Fall Fest. Activities included pumpkin carving, seasonal crafts, hayrides, archery, family campfire, square dance, and more.
The 5100-acre Snow Mountain Ranch has a Fall Fest, too: featuring outdoor guided hikes, pumpkin throwing contest, mini-golf tournament, campfire, indoor crafts, climbing wall, and a Fall Fest Carnival (dress in costume!).
Rates for both Estes Park and Snow Mountain Ranch family weekends are very reasonable: for example, $70 adult/$50 child, for YMCA of the Rockies members; $75 adult/ $55 child, for non-members.* Price includes two nights lodging, five meals, activities, and orientation.
