A stay on the Dominican north coast is a great chance to try surfing, with the friendly folk at 321 Takeoff.
Generally speaking, kids as young as eight can try surfing if conditions are right; here, the waves may be too tiring for young kids. But of course this will depend on the weather; give a call and ask the staff, if you want to have a go with your kids.
