Ocean World is a marine park at Cofresi, just a stone's throw from the Sun Village resort. Don't expect a giant park like SeaWorld (though price is about the same size.)
Activities during our visit included a Sea Lion Show that's quite an amazing production; snorkeling in a Tropical Reef Aquarium, with equipment provided; rainforest exhibits and aviary; and a swim-with-dolphin program. Always check for updates, and check recent visitor comments.
Facilities that offer swims with dolphins are sprouting all over, but swimming with dolphins raises many issues and and true dolphin-lovers need to be be vigilant about the welfare of the animals. The DR's Manati Park, for instance -- in Punta Cana-- has been lambasted for years for the conditions of its dolphins. Ocean World seems to have built larger habitats.
