Ocean World is a marine park at Cofresi, just a stone's throw from the Sun Village resort. Don't expect a giant park, like SeaWorld (though price is about the same size.)
Activities include: a Sea Lion Show that's quite an amazing production; snorkeling in a Tropical Reef Aquarium, with equipment provided; rainforest exhibits and aviary; and a swim-with-dolphin program.
Facilities that offer swims with dolphins are sprouting all over, and true dolphin-lovers need to be be vigilant about the welfare of the animals. The DR's Manati Park, for instance -- in Punta Cana-- has been lambasted for years for the conditions of its dolphins. Fortunately, Ocean World seems to be taking a more enlightened approach and has built large habitats.
