Safari bus

"Safari" trips are often a great way to get out'n'about and explore an island. Above: in the Dominican Republic, Outback Safaris have enthusiastic staff.

The tour we sampled was "North Coast Adventure": Outback Safari will pick up guests from some fifty hotels, for this full-day trip.

Itinerary for this tour includes: visit to a typical home; river swim; shopping at a local rum snack; visit to a fruit plantation, with sampling; lunch; river boat ride; and a grand finale of boogie boarding on a long uncrowded beach.
