Coral Resorts
Known for some years as the "Coral by Hilton" brand, these four family-friendly all-inclusive resorts in the DR offer watersports, kids' program, drinks, meals, snacks, and all the usual conveniences and pleasures of an all-inclusive getaway. (Spa, scuba, and golf are extra.) Three Coral resorts are on the south (Caribbean) coast of the DR; the Coral Marien is in the north.
Coral Marien Resort
The Coral Marien resort is in the north of the DR, near Playa Dorado and the busy town of Puerto Plata (which has an airport.) Snorkeling outings take guests to a nearby coral reef (at an extra charge.)
Natura Park Eco-Resort & Spa
In the Punta Cana area; features lush landscaping, ponds, open-air restaurants, and decor with local stones, coconut, and cane. Mini-Club for ages 2 to 12. Kids like seeing peacocks, ducks, flamingos, roaming the grounds or in the lagoons.
Dominican Republic Resort: Sun Village
Sun Village Resort is a family-friendly, mid-sized all-inclusive property in Cofresi on the north coast of the DR. The marine park Ocean World is next door; restaurants, shops, nightlife in Playa Dorado and Puerto Plata are not far away
Sunscape The Beach
One of several Sunscape resorts in the DR, this one has a long free-form pool that meanders throughout the resort; 80 "Swim-Out" rooms; infant care; kids club; lots of activities; and coral for snorkeling right offshore.
Sunscape Casa del Mar
Sunscape Casa Del Mar is about an hour's drive from Punta Cana airport, or 20 minutes from the smaller La Romana airport. All-inclusive price includes horse-riding; junior suites sleep five.
Viva Wyndham Tangerine Resort
Well-priced all-inclusive with great location on the north coast of the DR, just a short walk along the beach from the town of Cabarete.
