Choosing where to stay when you visit Disney World isn't simple, but the good news is: every choice will probably be great for families. Orlando definitely knows how to please its core market.
Personally, I'd choose "in the World" because we love to stay late in the parks and watch the closing Fireworks. In the summer, this means midnight, and it's a hassle to make your way back to an off-property hotel. Meanwhile, every Disney World resort I've seen has been an appealing place to stay.
On the other hand, my son who's visited NickHotel --Nickelodeon Family Suites-- loved the place, with its two waterparks and games and entertainment by Nickelodeon.
