Not so much a place to see Santa, but plenty of Christmas spirit:

Colonial Williamsburg is fun throughout the year, with a beautifully restored historic district peopled by real-life actors bringing to life the days just before the American Revolution.

Christmas is an especially good time to visit, with many special events, including:

  • The Grand Illumination, a spectacle of fireworks (18th century style), music, and lights;
  • Lighting of the Christmas Tree;
  • Live theatre for children;
  • Music performances on period instruments;
  • Yuletide Supper;
  • Kids' Weekends: on several weekends, this special program includes dressing up for the holidays in 18th century style, storytelling, carolling, holiday feasts, 18th century popular card game, and more.
See more about the events for Christmas in Colonial Williamsburg; also, read more about Colonial Williamsburg for families.
