Yosemite National Park is famous for its stunning scenery, and visitors flock there in summer-time; but winter is also a wonderful time to visit.
Evergreen Lodge has a prime location just one mile from Yosemite's western border and the Park entrance to Hetch Hetchy; driving time is 3½ hours from the San Francisco Bay Area.
Christmas Week Festivities:
Evergreen Lodge is celebrating with twelve days of special events (Dec. 16th to Dec. 27th 2009). In addition to the usual fun-- campfires with s’mores, arts & crafts, bingo, holiday movies, board games by the fireside-- add special activities such as guided snowshoe walks, "Decorate Your Stocking", and the wackier "decorate your Christmas pink flamingo" - certainly a souvenir to remember.
