The St. Kitts Marriott Resort & (adjacent) Royal Beach Casino is 10 minutes from the airport, on the eastern Atlantic-side of the island. Non-stop flights from Miami take about 2-1/2 hours.
St. Kitts is a tiny island -- 68 sq. miles-- with terrain that includes lush rainforest, waterfalls, an inactive volcano, sugar-cane fields. It's a good island for outings (see below). The resort is at the island's narrowest point.

- guided tour around the perimenter of the island including the large restored Brimstone Hill fortress
- the resort is on the Atlantic side of the island, which gets more wind and surf. If the water's rough, the Carribbean side is just a mile away. (A shuttle can be arranged.)
- some guests have reported loud music at the pool -- check more recent comments (see link below)
- St. Kitts has no protected marine park, so if your passion is snorkeling or diving, do research first
- "heated" pools are not always as expected, as at many resorts
