Divi Resorts -background:
Divi Resorts operates a number of properties on several Caribbean islands.
Aruba:
In Aruba, Divi has three properties and two affiliates. The Divi Aruba Phoenix Beach Resort is in the high-rise section of Palm Beach, and has beachfront suites; distance from the airport is 8 miles. A major expansion will be completed in 2008.
Also in Aruba, the Divi Village Golf and Beach Resort has suites and private villas, and the Divi Dutch Village Resort is all-suites; These two resorts are near each other, five miles from the airport and not far from the town of Oranjestad.
Two other "Divi"-named resorts on Aruba -- the Divi Aruba All Inclusive and Tamarijn Aruba All Inclusive -- are not Divi Resorts but rather affiliates, with their own packages and websites (www.diviaruba.com, www.tamarijnaruba.com). These two properties are adjacent on the beach, and share certain facilities, including a kids camp. Also, Guests at the nearby Divi Dutch Village can buy all-inclusive packages that access this kids' camp, or can pay for it individually.
Divi Resorts - Other Islands: Divi Resorts on other islands include: the Divi Carina Bay in St. Croix, USVI; Divi Little Bay in St. Maarten; and the Divi Southwinds on Barbados. Bonaire has the Divi Flamingo, and a second property will open in 2008. The Divi Tiara in Cayman Brac closed in 2006.
Generally, kids 15 and under stay free with an adult, and at some properties children's poolside activities are offered.
Divi Resorts frequently offer promotions, including off-season Summer and Fall sales that last into December.
