"I have a baby or toddler"

FDR Pebbles nanny"Vacation nannies" at FDR and Pebbles tend babies and kids.

More and more all inclusive resorts are now providing nurseries and infant care. Even if you only use the nursery for a few hours during nap time, baby care can be a welcome break.

In another trend, many properties are also offering 24-hour room service: which is a nice convenience with baby along-- as is a mini-fridge in the room.

Parents of babies may want to ask whether an on-site doctor or nurse is available; the bigger resorts are your best bet.

Noteworthy All Inclusive Resorts with baby along:

  • Franklyn D. Resort and sister resort FDR Pebbles --two mid-sized properties in Jamaica-- offer the ultimate for parents of babies and toddlers: each family has their own vacation nanny throughout their stay, a friendly person who helps as much or as little as you like.
  • Beaches Resorts have nurseries that take infants.
  • Atlantis Bahamas has a "Gentle Travel" program with perks for baby travelers

Tip from Sally Black of VacationKids.com: at some resorts, the availability of infant care seems to vary over time; also, web site info isn't always accurate. So, double-check to make sure the baby-club will actually be up'n'running during your trip!

Note: for any resort, always check visitors' comments for a recent snapshot of quality and service. TripAdvisor is a great resource.
