For those with an eye on the budget: keep in mind that Cancun is a relatively expensive area. (If you're looking for less-expensive AI's, try Dominican Republic vacations). Keep in mind, too, that price varies with time of year; if you can travel after spring break, you can save big bucks.
But if you're set on Cancun, and can't be flexible about timing, here are a few suggestions for finding value at an all-inclusive resort.
- first, check this price comparison of different Cancun resorts, to get ballpark figures. As you can see, most resorts have a big price: for example, low-end may start at $93, with higher end (for suites) at the same property closer to $400.
- Blue Bay Club Cancun has lower price range, and draws good comments at time of writing; location is to the north of the Hotel Zone.
- Beach Palace, in the heart of the Cancun Hotel Zone, shows similar good price point; visitor comments are good (at time of writing), and this resort gets good marks from popular package Apple Vacations.
- Oasis Palm Beach -- in the Hotel Zone, but facing north with a sheltered, shallow beach-- likewise has a good price point
