Every year, around Memorial Day, "Dr. Beach" releases his Top 10 List of America's Best Beaches. "Dr. Beach" -- aka Dr. Stephen P. Leatherman -- is a scientist who's studied beaches for decades; he's also a scientist who'll pose for a photo with a conch shell and a stethoscope, and who clearly has a deep love for beaches, of which he says: "Nothing restores the body and soul like a stay at the beach."
Siesta Beach, in Florida, was Dr. Beach's top pick in 2011.
