All-inclusive resorts: WHAT's the price range?

Given all that all-inclusive resorts offer, it's no surprise that many cost hundreds of dollars per adult per night, and even reduced rates for kids can add up.

A week for a family of four at, say, a Beaches, could cost $6500 including airfare. (Keep in mind, this includes snorkeling and scuba-- every day, if you can get a spot.)

On the other hand, you may find getaways at less than $100/adult/night. All-inclusive resorts in the Dominican Republic are especially good for price point; Mexico can also deliver some value-priced AI's. Just don't expect five-star service at bargain prices! Be reasonable.

Price-Busters: watch for Specials at top resorts:

But what about hurricanes? Definitely, several "off-season" months are also hurricane season. And even if the risk of a direct hit by a hurricane is small, they spread bad weather in a wide radius. Many resorts now have Hurricane or Bad-Weather Guarantees: Read more.

Meanwhile, if you want to spend more money than average, you certainly can: for the high-end rooms with Butler service at Beaches, for instance.
