Yellowstone National Park: geothermal features
Belching Dragon
This "geothermal feature" comes with sound effects. The 1870 Washburn expedition decided not to name any geothermal features for themselves--so they came up with more imaginative names!
Today Trail Guide for the "Mud Volcano" area calls this feature "Dragon's Mouth Spring", but past names have included The Belcher and Blowing Cavern.
For a panoramic view of Dragon's Mouth Spring, see the Virtual Guidebooks site.
"Cooking Hillside", "Churning Cauldron"... Yellowstone has hundreds of fascinating and beautiful geothermal features. See the National Park site.
