The Adventure Begins... But first, park your safari strollers at the entrance, please.

Theming starts the moment in the line-up area (which is under cover.) You're embarking on a wildlife safari in Africa. Your jeep driver is an actor, hamming it up.

Be sure to experience the Kilimanjaro Safari in early morning, or late in the day, to see the most animals!

As you're tossed about on your rough'n'tumble jeep-ride, you can practically reach out and touch someone.

Close encounters don't get much closer...

Kids love to spot elephants.

This baobob tree looks so real... but a real one this size would be hundreds of years old. Just another example awesome theming at Animal Kingdom.

You'll see the big-eared wildlife, for sure...

... and may even glimpse the King of the Beasts.

But this wouldn't be a Disney adventure without a good chase scene: your jeep must catch the wicked poachers, quick! The Safari is exciting and well-executed fun.
